I apologise for the gratuitous LOLcat. But you gotta love them. I have another question.
Where do you find your self-POD news and gossip?
(Because I need to find this stuff out so I can post it here).

I do a couple of things: I cruise the message boards to see who is tossed off about what. I do a scan of the news using self-publishing as a keyword, and I have a few sites I like such as Grumpy old book man, Bookslut, and 101 Reasons to Stop Writing among others.
There was recently an article in wired regarding the stigma of self-pub dissapearing with mainstream authors like Stephen King experimenting with venue. And it also mentioned self-pub books getting picked up my mainstream publishers and a few tips on how to make that happen, well, if that's what you want.
Thanks Cheryl. That is very much the sort of story I am interested in. Currently I rely mainly on the absolute write forum, lulu forums and anything that comes up in mags like Publishers Weekly (although my local Borders swears thet stock PW but they never do).
p.s. I am on a business trip for the next three days so appearance on the blog will depend on whether the hotels have free wifi.

Hi, Emily.
I run a book reviews blog and occasionally review POD titles in their own little sub-section:
http://darrylslibrary.wordpress.com/category/self-published-books/
And other small press books:

I also sometime write articles on self-publishing here:

Hope you find something of interest.
Regards
Darryl
Thanks, Darryl--I'll have a look.
p.s. we are open to book submissions right now. [hint]
