I believe a good review makes me take note of the book to check into later or even buy it; it makes me want to read the book for myself.

A believeable reviewer is the most important feature of a good book review in my opinion!
A good review is one that is full of passion for or against and tells me why the book is/isn't so great compared to the gazillion other books on the shelf.
What is the most important feature of a good book review?
The reviewer: one who does his homework, doesn't bring preconceptions to the review, and can separate the story's characters (and their traits) from the author.
