Book Club?

I am just floating this idea to see if there is any interest:

If I linked to an e-book, short story to novella length, that is available for free on the Internet would anyone be interested in having a look at it? I would give a month for everyone to have a look and invite y'all to send in a brief response to it (up to 500 words?)

I think it would be interesting to see the range of responses a story can elicit.

I could dig it. I've actually been wondering how to draw people's attention to things like serially-published fiction on the web.

I'm open to suggesting re: stories.

I'd certainly be up for it, both as an avid reader of aforementioned 'net fiction (much of which is total and utter crap, so someone else sorting it out is nice) and an occasional author of 'net fiction. (Hopefully not total and utter crap... :)

There are a number of people who write good stuff and throw it out for free, and it's worth reading. It's also very different than a lot of the M/M stuff that sees print or e-print. (Which tends to be fairly traditional romance novel stuff with two guys, something that most of the good free fiction I've found isn't)

I am always up for reading new and interesting works ... especially the novella form.

I say, go for it.
